Byaheng Pinas-Kuwait

There's a Jeepney in Kuwait!!!! waaaa...I was so happy to see it last night...

Yes! yes yes...our beloved ride is here with us hahah...on display nga lang sa bangketa, as an attraction for an airline building serving Manila-Kuwait...sa body ng jeep, nakasulat ang mga countries being served by the airline..and the slogan " We take you personally" ..hmm..

when I passed by, there were a group of Indians and some Koreans taking photos infront of her..hahaha...sus me..

Fly Away

The vacant lot next to our office building is home to hundreds of pigeons...For the past 9 years I've been here, it is already a familiar sight to see families and passers-by taking photos there, feeding the birds or simply pausing to watch..

It has become a landmark too..whenever somebody asks where our office address is, we never fail to ask back " you know where the pigeon park is?" or ' do you know that building with the pigeons, thats our building." and the caller will instantly know where we are..

I am not really that fond of birds or any other animals..But I am helplessly sentimental hehehe..So it's quite sad to know that the lot owner has now decided to build on his land...progress has now caught up with these poor birds..

soon, they will only be distant memories of the past, an old familiar thought of what once a joyous sight..and so here I am, taking photos of them before they blocked out and excavate the land..soon, they will be homeless until they found another place to call home...

JUST FLY AWAY PIGEONS...FLY AWAY HOME..

Magda-drive ako..

Last weekend I drove 90 kms south of Kuwait for a visit to the site of a new Power Generation Plant in AzZour. It's about an hour-long drive along an Expressway, first 25 minutes of which will pass through the suburbs and residential areas and the rest is a long, lonely road in the middle of wide, desert land.

I didn't have time to eat lunch because I have to reach the site before it gets dark..So imagine my happiness seeing a McDonald's midway...it's like finding an oasis in the desert yesss!!

After a quick lunch of McRoyale and fries, on to the never ending lonely road..

Where camels reside.....

and I can drive as free as I can be....weeeeeee!!!..that's 150 km/h...

what a trip hehehe...
